Carol Souki Souki
My name is Carol Souki, I was born on November 8,1986 in Venezuela. I am of Lebanese descent. I lived in Kuwait from 1995-2004 where I attended secondary school and began singing at the age of 10 years. Being part of such diverse cultures throughout my life enabled me to develop various linguistic, musical, and dance styles that shape me as a musician today. I attended Berklee College of Music in the Spring of 2005 and graduated with a Bachelors in Music Therapy. I have performed within the college as a lead and background vocalist for various events, club venues, and organized a peace concert at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Furthermore, I have volunteered in the U.S and Japan at orphanages and non profit organizations. I have worked at various public schools in Massachusetts with children with special needs. I currently live in Kuwait and work at a secondary school with children with special needs ages 4-21 years old where I provide Music Therapy services. I hope to raise awareness on the power of music as an effective tool to aid in the well-being of children and adults both therapeutically and recreationally.
