I first considered pursuing a career in music when my teacher gave a compilation of great jazz saxophonists. Ever since then my passion has been jazz and the saxophone, although I actually began learning music on the piano. Throughout high school, I sat in with many local musicians in the Pittsburgh area, eventually picking up some gigs. In the past few years, I’ve played nearly every genre of American music across Western Pennsylvania. I also studied classical music for two years at Slippery Rock University of PA. All of this experience continually helps me to perform at my best in any musical situation. As a student at Berklee, I hope to develop my diverse musical understanding and ability into a more unified concept, which I can draw upon to better express myself.
