Patricia Moon (voice, violin and piano)

Hailed by the Spanish press as ‘’the originator of a brand new genre,” Patricia Moon, appeared all over the world after living in a glass house in the center of Madrid. She spent a week there with only her violin and her voice, developing an original musical composition from scratch. This project had a great impact worldwide, with coverage in 37 countries: a variety of TV stations aired her story (TVE, TVE2, La Sexta, Telecinco, Antena 3, La Cuatro, TVG, etc.) interviews for newspapers and magazines all over the world (El País, El Mundo, London Times, BBC, Le Figaro, China Post, El Yucatán, Strad, Elle, Hello!) She was also notably interviewed on a variety TV shows (GOOD MORNING AMERICA (US), España Directo), and radio stations (National Radio of Colombia, Onda Cero)

Degree in music, specialized in violin, in Spain, she moved to Berlin to improve her music knowledge with Prof. Tomasz Tomaszewski (concertmaster of the Deutsche Opera, Berlin, Germany). She’s studied the degree in singing in the Conservatory of Music in Vigo for three years and Contemporary Harmony, composition and Arranging in Ateneo Jazz School in Madrid with maestro Felix Santos at the same time she studied voice with the well-known singer Robert Jeantal.

She has worked with the notable Spanish bands Siniestro Total, Los Piratas, Marc Eagleton (Natacha Atlas), and she has worked in music for documentaries, films as well as musical clips working with the Spanish actor Luis Tosar (winner of three Goyas), the well-known film musician Manuel Villalta (“Planta 4”, “ El oro de Moscu”, etc.) or Coque Malla.

She had the privilege to play in huge festivals as important as PRIMAVERA SOUND (2007, Barcelona) o INTERCELTICO DE LORIENT (2009, France) and in theaters of reference like Philharmonic of Berlin or Congress’s Hall of Beijing. She has played with many orchestras in Spain and Germany, playing in several cities in Europe (Portugal, Spain, Italia, France, Belgium, Greece, Germany) and Asia (Beijing, Huhaote, Jinjan, Daquing, Haerbin, Nanchang, Longyan, Zhengzhou, Jinan, Jinzhou).

Last year she received one of the few scholarships awarded to residents of Spain to one of the most prestigious music universities over the world: Berklee College of Music where she currently studies.

With the name of Patricia Moon she release her solo album under the label “El Pescador de Estrellas” of the well known musician and producer Paco Ortega (Camaron de la Isla, Paco de Lucia, Alejandro Sanz, Joaquin Sabina, etc.), which about the middle of last year was launched in Costello Club, one of the most important clubs in Madrid (Spain) and ‘’The Shows of Radio 3’’ (public Spanish TV), as well as playing in many places of Spain during last summer.
