About Me

Born and raised in Napa, California, I started my musical journey with the recorder and violin in Elementary School. My freshman year of high school, I was gifted a Guitar and transitioned from Violin. My knowledge was limited with the only experience being from an amateur Metallica cover band, riffing out songs at home and writing by ear.

With a chaotic childhood, music was my refuge. Wanting to go to school for music with no means and also fueled by older generations in my family, I joined the Army in 2006 at the age of 20. While in Iraq, I joined a few comrades in a band, jamming with what little free time we had. We were able to put on a few small shows for the Soldiers and Civilians that were living on the base. In 2010, after only four months in Afghanistan, I was wounded in action and returned stateside for treatment. During my treatment, I turned to guitar again for comfort during recovery and took three guitar classes online with Berklee.

I then was medically discharged from the Army and moved to Los Angeles, CA to complete an Associate’s Degree in Guitar Performance. After completing, I went on to complete a Certificate in Audio Engineering and Post Production.

Through Musicians Institute’s Internship Course, I Interned at Westlake Recording Studios and soon after was hired on full time. Through my time at Westlake, I moved through the positions of Runner, Studio Technician, Assistant Engineer and Independent Engineer working for the Studio. During my time there, I was fortunate enough to watch talented Producers such as Tor Hermansen & Mikkel Eriksen of Stargate, Ryan Tedder, Benny Blanco, Cashmere Cat and many other professionals at work. Experiencing this fueled my passion into Music Production even more so. During my time at Westlake and after I resigned, I produce(d) regularly with co-workers and clients that I developed friendships with.

I resigned from Westlake to enroll in Berklee Online’s Interdisciplinary Music Studies to further my knowledge in Music Production, improve my performance ability, theory knowledge and to connect with other Music Industry Professionals wanting to collaborate. I am currently a full time Bachelor’s Student, an Independent Producer/Engineer, and a Teaching Assistant for Pro Tools 12 & Logic Pro X at Musicians Institute and UCLA Extension.
