A native of Jerusalem, Israel, Joshua Rona studied piano in his youth and began professional study of music in 2002 at the ‘Rimon School of Jazz and Contemporary Music’ near Tel-Aviv. At Rimon, he majored in Voice Performance and Sound Engineering. He has performed with noted Israeli artists Gali Atari, Gidi Gov, for songwriter Yael German, and was a finalist in the annual ‘SHIRIMON’ competition.

In January 2007 Joshua began his studies at ‘Berklee College of Music’ in Boston, Ma. There he has fronted and musically directed several shows, including most recently, a senior performance in the David Friend Recital Hall. Joshua featured in the pop/rock 2009 showcase at the Berklee Performance Center. He has also more recently featured as a principal character in Berklee’s first theater production of the musical ‘Parade’, also at the Berklee Performance Center. He is a recipient of the performance division’s ‘Solo and Ensemble Award’ Scholarship, and completed the Berklee Voice department’s comprehensive Bachelor of Music program in Performance this year.
